Oscar Camacho, Co-Founder
Oscar Camacho is the co-founder and President of Superior Food Safety and Superior Food Safety Franchising USA-based companies. His consulting and training engagements span the globe and the food industry, including food production at large, medium, and small-scale manufacturing plants. With over 34 years of progressive hands-on experience in the food industry, including ownership of two food processing plants and extensive work with two of the largest food manufacturers in the world. Camacho’s inspiring, first-person accounts of food safety successes and failures put accountability into sharp focus for his clients and their employees. Food safety workers emerge from Superior Food Safety training or consulting sessions with a clear understanding of what it means to do the right thing.
What sets Mr. Camacho’s work apart is his ability to analyze top-to-bottom organizational charts and quickly zero in on systemic food safety flaws and deficiencies within each company. He identifies gaps and institutes ways to improve food safety culture, recommending the proper management for the right food safety program. As companies with compromised food safety systems know, merely instituting programs and hoping they are enforced is a costly and futile exercise. Success requires company-wide allegiance to excellence, clear lines of communication and reporting, personal accountability, provision of resources to maintain the programs, and continuous improvement when systems do not work smoothly.
Academic Credentials and Certifications
Mr. Camacho is a certified Lead Instructor and consultant for Food Safety Preventive Controls for Human Food, HACCP Alliance, Foreign Supplier Verification Program, a Registered SQF Consultant & SQF Trainer, and a former SQF Auditor. He holds a BS in Biology and an MS in Food Science and Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain, a Certification in International Management with studies in business administration, and a Certification in Enterprise Risk Management. Oscar has helped numerous companies in the supply chain achieve SQF, BRCGS, and FSSC22K certifications with excellent scores and FSMA compliance.
This breadth of knowledge and experience enables Mr. Camacho to effectively advise clients in organizing and assigning food safety roles within a Food Safety System.

Superior Food Safety is hosting this timely and important workshop on preventative controls for human foods under the FSPCA-FSMA guidelines.
What you will learn:
• Meet the requirements for training under Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 117.155 for the Preventive Controls “Qualified Individual”
• Learn and understand the responsibilities of a preventive controls qualified individual
• Learn How preventive controls build on established food safety principles
• Understand and identify the Components of a Food Safety Plan
• Learn how to conduct Food Safety Plan activities such as developing and reviewing a food safety plan
• Provide the necessary skills for validating preventive controls, verifying and validating process controls among others
This class will be presented by Oscar Camacho on the Zoom platform. Materials for the class will be provided to you electronically prior to the class. No hard copies of the materials will be provided for the class, but participants are able to create them at their own expense if they find that preferable. The link to the Zoom call will be provided to you prior to the class.
Price includes Class and certificate of successful completion issued by FSPCA.
